Dave Hill graduated from Glasgow School
of Art in 1983 and began his career as a painter with exhibitions in Glasgow,
Edinburgh, Liverpool and London.
He started illustrating comic books
in 1990, working for 2000 AD, Judge Dredd Megazine, Crisis, Manga Entertainment,
and Caliber Press U.S.A.
He then worked as a concept artist in
the video games industry producing character and environment designs for numerous
titles including 'Hedz', 'Earthworm Jim 3d', Tom and Jerry 'fists of furry',
Tom and Jerry 'War of the Whiskers', The Evil Dead 'Fistful of boomstick', and
'State of Emergency 2'.
Dave returned to freelance illustration
in 2005 and produces most of his work digitally although he still accepts traditional
commissions and paints in oils and watercolour. He is currently writing his
own picture books.
